Do you enjoy cleaning? One of my favorite things about cleaning is that you can immediately see improvement. That helps motivate me to keep going. I do my best to keep up with the basics, but let’s be honest, I need some great cleaning products to keep up with a busy household of 6!
I love the Montessori concept of teaching independence in self-care. Additionally, there is an emphasis on respect of ones environment and a responsibility to leave an environment the way it was found for the next person to enjoy. These are areas that I work on with the girls as often as I can. It never ceases to amaze me just how capable my four year old and two year old are when given the opportunity!
Evelyn recently showed interest in sweeping the floor, not just pushing her broom around, but actually sweeping things off the floor and into a dustpan. She even included Eloise in the activity and they did a great job with team work AND actually cleaning the floor. They each have a kid sized broom to continue practicing those skills, but I really loved seeing this interaction between them. Evelyn teaching Eloise how to use the dustpan and also welcoming her little sister’s contribution. It was far from perfect, but each day these girls are teaching me that progress is better than perfection. And for that, I am so grateful!

Full Circle‘s line of cleaning supplies aren’t the only workhorses in our house. We are also loving Blueland dishwasher tablets which are 100% plastic-free, hypoallergenic, made with clean ingredients, and sold in compostable paper packaging. Best part? They actually WORK! We’ve been testing out their hand soap and just purchased the laundry tabs, so the jury is still out on those. I am on a mission to remove plastic from my life, so I really want the rest of their products to work for our family.
Dyson makes a topnotch cordless vacuum. I’ve had mine for about 10 years and it works just as well as it did the day I bought it, well worth the initial investment.
I wouldn’t be a Millennial if I didn’t mention the O-Cedar Spin Mop! It honestly makes mopping more fun and the fact that you can just toss the mop head into the wash? Awesome!
