I have had the wonderful privilege of finding a family photographer that captures the growth of my family beautifully. For more than four years now, Kelsey Krall of Kelsey Krall Photography has worked with us at a variety of local spots. Her style is light and airy which allows our faces to truly be the focal point in each photo.
This Fall session is approximately a year after our last session, so the kids all look quite a bit different! Its been such a joy to work with Kelsey, putting together my family’s outfits and then getting feedback on how that will work with the vision Kelsey has at the location she’s selected as the backdrop.
I got super lucky at a thrift store recently – Evelyn and Eloise’s dresses were found at the same spot! I typically try to start with what I plan to wear and style everyone else around that, but these dresses were just too perfect for the Folsom dry grass Fall “look”. With their pops of mustard yellow and maroon, I decided to go with shades of beige and brown for the rest of us. Then I was looking through Viv’s closet and she had the PERFECT floral dress for the combination of colors.
Here’s what we are wearing:
Brian: L/S shirt, Jeans, Shoes
Kirsten: Dress, Cardigan, Flat Brim Hat, Boots
Viv: Dress, Tights, Boots, Headband
Evelyn: Dress, L/S Shirt, Boots, Headband
Eloise: Dress, L/S Shirt, Shoes, Bow
Imogene: Jumpsuit (I had socks and shoes and a bow for her, but life happens and I forgot to put them on her, mom life, real talk)
